Even a simple goal like - "Get to work five minutes sooner than last time" is a basic goal that makes getting out of bed seem like a worthwhile endeavor and going to sleep feel like a pleasant accomplishment.  


  1. Focus on what you like and what you're good at

Spending time alone allows you to discover what it is that you appreciate. Describe some of your passions. What are some of your favorite pastimes, if any? 

In this case, it's not about you and your spouse, your parents, or your children. What are your favorite pastimes?  

It is a good moment to identify your passions. In this case, it's about you, not the other people.
